Job summary

CSPNJ in Neptune City, NJ seeks a full-time Wellness Mentor to lead and support members, visitors, and community members. Under the Wellness Center Manager, the Mentor plans, implements, and maintains daily Wellness Center operations, applying wellness, recovery, and peer-support principles.

The role emphasizes engaging with peers, providing information and referrals to community resources, and collaborating with staff to connect people with needed services; bilingualism is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred CRSP/CPRS or equivalent peer certification.
• English communication skills mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal and trauma-informed approach.
• Valid NJ driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Lived experience in mental health/substance use encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Support agency mission and meet community needs.
• Maintain knowledge of local resources for robust referrals.
• Plan and conduct day-to-day Wellness Center operations.
• Offer information and referrals on wellness, recovery, and peer support.
