Job summary

CSPNJ seeks part-time Wellness Mentors to lead and model wellness and recovery within the Wellness Center. The role collaborates with the Center Manager and members to implement daily operations, provide referrals, and foster a supportive environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, related peer certifications preferred, and strong English communication. Bilingual skills are a plus; a valid NJ driver’s license is beneficial in this community-focused role.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma/GED.
• Certified Recovery Support Practitioner (CRSP), Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS), or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient in basic computer skills, including email and internet applications.
• Knowledge of wellness, the mental health system, and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing day-to-day Wellness Center operations.
• Collaborate with the manager and members to identify community needs and make connections with local agencies.
• Provide information and referrals regarding wellness, recovery, and community services.
• Support members and visitors with respectful, trauma-informed peer support.
