Job summary

UNC Health’s Meadowmont Wellness Center in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a Wellness Center Attendant to greet guests, assist with center equipment, and enforce center rules. You will help with opening and closing procedures, keep the facility clean, and create a safe, welcoming environment for members and visitors on the fitness floor, pool, and climbing wall.

This per diem role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to respond to safety situations, CPR/AED/O2 certification

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Team-oriented attitude with initiative.
• Ability to lift towels and minor equipment; participate in safety checks.
• Willingness to learn safety practices and use of computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and direct members to services or programs.
• Assist with registration, check-in, and program sign-ups; respond to member requests.
• Provide equipment orientations for new members and supervise climbing wall activities.
• Monitor facility areas and ensure adherence to policies; restock supplies as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance; report equipment issues.
• Enforce safety policies; respond to incidents and emergencies; assist with CPR/AED as required.
• Attend trainings to improve knowledge of wellness center programs and procedures.
