Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health's Wellness Center is seeking a friendly Wellness Center Ambassador to greet patients and visitors, assist with registration and scheduling, and ensure a positive experience throughout their visit. You will help guests with wayfinding and provide clerical support to maintain smooth operations in the center.

The role requires at least a year of experience, a High School diploma or GED, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of working experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly resourceful, organized with excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, problem-solving, and service recovery skills.
• Computer skills; familiarity with Matrix reporting environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes all guests to the Health and Wellness Center and orients them through their visit.
• Greets patients and visitors promptly and courteously, maintaining a confident, professional demeanor.
• Obtains and verifies demographic information when required.
• Directs patients to the correct location or supports registration and scheduling as needed.
• Escort assistance for patients requiring a wheelchair when necessary.
• Makes confirmation calls, checks in patients, and notifies appropriate departments.
• Answers calls and handles inquiries per organizational standards.
• Enforces visiting and access policies and supports security as needed.
• Maintains lobby and surrounding areas cleanliness and safety.
• Provides clerical support and basic secretarial tasks as assigned.
• Supports receiving, mail, and restocking in Wellness Center areas.
