Job summary

The YMCA of Central Stark County seeks an outgoing, motivated part-time health and wellness professional to help members of all ages reach total well-being through fun and engaging activities.

Shifts are Wednesdays and Thursdays 5-9am. Starting rate is $11.30 per hour. Work in a positive, safe environment that promotes member engagement, with opportunities to learn and grow while supporting our community’s wellness goals.

Qualifications

• Candidate must create a safe, enjoyable environment promoting member well-being.
• Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build effective relationships with members
• Maintain working knowledge of wellness trends
• Maintain safe environment and functioning exercise equipment
• Take initiative to help members reach their goals
• Monitor Wellness Center as directed

Qualifications:

Candidate must be able to provide service to members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes healthy member well-being and engagement

• Experience working with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
• Background in exercise science or related field preferred, but willing to train.
