Job summary

Spymca in Stevens Point, WI seeks a part-time Wellness Center staff member to provide guidance, leadership, and service across the YMCA facility. Flexible hours 8:00-12:00pm and 12:00-4pm, benefits include a free Y membership, 50% employee discount, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification provided on employment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical functions necessary to program instruction, including squatting, bending, kneeling, spotting participants and demonstrating equipment.
• Passion for wellness and ability to relate with individuals facing wellness challenges.
• Ability to present information clearly to individuals or small groups.
• Show initiative, motivation, problem-solving skills, and maintain confidentiality.

PAY: $10.17-$12.00/Hour

Work Schedule: Flexible, with various hours available, 8:0-12:00pm | 12:00-4pm

This position is responsible for providing guidance, leadership, and service in the Wellness Center and throughout the YMCA facility. Additional responsibilities include providing building manager and emergency response for the YMCA during assigned hours.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to perform physical functions necessary to program instruction, including but not limited to squatting, bending, kneeling, spotting program participants and demonstrating use of Wellness Center equipment.
• Passion for wellness, an understanding of individual challenges with achieving wellness goals, and strong relationship-building skills.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries at an individual or small group level.
• Possess initiative, motivational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

CERTIFICATIONS:

CPR/AED/First Aid certification within 60 days of hire.
