Job summary

Glacial Community YMCA is seeking a Wellness Coach in Wisconsin to guide members on safe equipment use and to lead group or individual sessions on the Wellness floor.

You'll build relationships, promote safety, and create an enjoyable experience for members while modeling healthy living. The role includes ongoing training, a supportive team environment, and benefits such as a free Y membership and program discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in fitness coaching, training, or group instruction preferred.
• Willingness to attend meetings, training sessions, and obtain additional certifications as needed.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform all physical aspects of the role.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be on the wellness floor, building relationships, promoting safety, and creating an enjoyable experience for our members. Your energy and expertise will leave members feeling supported, motivated, and excited about their healthy living journey!

Schedule/Shifts Available (Subject to Program Needs)

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Monday and Wednesday: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
• Monday and Thursday: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM

What You’ll Do

• Guide members in the safe and effective use of all Wellness Center equipment, including EGYM, Matrix strength machines, and free weights.
• Lead engaging, educational, and fun group or individual appointments.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming environment by caring for equipment and facilities.
• Serve as a positive role model for healthy living and Y values.
