Job summary

Stanford Medicine WellMD & WellPhD Center seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead a portfolio of programs, educational offerings, and strategic initiatives supporting physician and scientist well-being.

Reporting to the Director of Programs and Education, you will coordinate faculty, staff, participants, and vendors; manage workplans, logistics, recruitment, communications, and evaluations to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience managing programs or complex projects.
• Experience launching new programs or initiatives and strengthening established ones.
• Strong project management skills including workplans, timelines, workflows, and deliverables.
• Experience developing systems and infrastructure to support program operations.
• Experience managing program budgets, vendors, contracts, and other operational components.
• Experience collecting and analyzing program data and translating findings into recommendations.
• Interest or experience in physician/scientist well-being or related field.
• Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset with adaptability.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, senior leaders, staff, and external partners across boundaries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; independent, organized, proactive.

Responsibilities

• Independently implement and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, program or function.
• Collect and analyze data; create reports and explain trends.
• Organize policies and procedures; develop guidelines for programs.
• Serve as main contact and SME within department; coordinate resources.
• Plan outreach activities and communications; plan events and conferences.
• Assist with budgets, monitor expenditures, and forecast needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Stanford Medicine and external partners.
• Represent program to internal/external audiences and provide training as needed.
• Support governance, safety, and compliance in line with policies.
