Job summary

UC San Diego Health seeks a Physician Wellness Program Manager to lead initiatives promoting a culture of physician wellness within the Physician Wellness Office. You will design, implement, and evaluate wellness programs with input from executive leadership and clinical partnerships.

The role emphasizes strategic program management, data-driven analysis, and effective stakeholder engagement to overcome inertia and drive measurable impact across departments.

Qualifications

• Nine years of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus five years related experience/training.
• Advanced knowledge of organizational development and effectiveness theories and models.
• Excellent ability to communicate efficiently and effectively in both written and verbal presentations at all levels.
• Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, project planning and implementation skills.
• Highly skilled in facilitation, consulting and relationship building.
• Applies strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrates ability to learn quickly, reason, synthesize and generalize from information.

Responsibilities

• Manages UCSD Physician Wellness website and processes.
• Provides analytic support for internal and external wellness initiatives with focus on metrics.
• Coordinates scheduling and communication with internal Wellness groups and committees.
• Works with external wellness consultant to facilitate assessments and improvements.
• Acts as ambassador for the UCSD Physician Wellness Office and liaises with other wellness efforts.
• Leads cross-functional teams to solve complex organizational issues.
• Partners with executive leaders, department chairs and national wellness leaders to support departmental wellness.
• Manages key fiscal reporting including the Physician Wellness Office budget and resources.
