Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Welder to perform preventive maintenance, fabricate welds on refuse containers and compactors, and rehabilitate finishes. The role requires teamwork and adherence to safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.

You will inspect welding equipment, maintain inventory, and assist senior welders on projects while expanding knowledge through training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Welding and fabrication skills required; able to work as part of a team.
• Excellent listening, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Repairs on all sizes and types of containers and compactors including road repair.
• Inspections on welding and cutting equipment to ensure safe operating procedures.
• Maintain inventory records and ensure adequate materials to complete work efficiently.
• Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA requirements and safety procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostic and repair of electrical and hydraulic systems on compactors.
• Assist senior welders and participate in training and other learning opportunities.
