Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Container Welder/Fabricator to repair, paint, and maintain containers and roll-off boxes. You will weld steel and aluminum, fabricate parts with a brake and shear, and cut steel with plasma or torch. Install lids and wheels, and ensure safety compliance and proper documentation.

The role requires a certified welder with MIG/ARC expertise, plus basic hand-tool proficiency. Excellent communication and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified welder with MIG/ARC welding experience.
• Knowledge of MIG, stick welders, plasma cutter, and airless paint sprayers.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and follow directions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricate steel components using brake and shear.
• Cut steel using plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricate components for hoppers, containers, and compactors.
• Install lids and wheels on containers; paint repaired containers.
• Follow safety policies and complete required paperwork.
