Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking an experienced welder to repair and fabricate steel containers, fleet vehicles, and equipment. You will weld with MIG/ARC processes, cut steel with plasma and saws, fabricate components, and maintain shop safety and documentation.

The role emphasizes teamwork, punctuality, and adherence to OSHA standards in a fast-paced environment. High School diploma or GED preferred, with a commitment to safety and quality work.

Qualifications

• Welding: MIG/ARC; 1–2 years welding and cutting experience or vocational training.
• Fabrication and repair of steel components in a shop and field setting.
• Ability to operate basic shop equipment safely per OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, fabrication, and repair on containers, fleet vehicles, and equipment.
• Weld steel using MIG and ARC welding processes.
• Cut steel with plasma cutter and various saws; fabricate components.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and complete required paperwork.
• Interact professionally with customers and team members.
