Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven welding and mechanical aptitude required.
• Welding experience with MIG/ARC/stick preferred.
• Ability to learn cutting torch skills and plasma cutter use.
• Familiarity with common shop tools and equipment.
• Ability to operate a forklift/skid steer safely.
• Good communication skills and safety awareness.
• Basic computer skills for paperwork and records.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, fabrication, and repair on containers, compactors, and fleet vehicles.
• Weld steel using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricate steel components and cut steel with plasma cutting tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company policies.
• Complete required paperwork using computer systems.
• Assist with compactor installations and related projects.
• Interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and management.
