Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling seeks a skilled welder/fabricator to repair and fabricate containers, fleet vehicles, and compactors. You will weld with MIG/ARC, cut with plasma and saws, and assist with field installations in a safety‑mocused shop environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years welding experience, basic computer skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork. High school diploma preferred; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Excellent welding and mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of MIG/ARC and stick welding preferred.
• Basic OSHA safety understanding and safe work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret basic shop drawings and use measuring tools.
• 1–2 years welding and cutting experience or related technical training.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, sanding, grinding, cutting, torching, drilling on containers and fleet vehicles.
• Fabricate steel components and weld using MIG and ARC equipment.
• Cut steel with plasma cutter, circular/band/chop saws; flame cutting and forming as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and document work in company systems.
• Assist with compactor installations and routine shop tasks; interact professionally with customers.
