Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking welders to repair containers, fleet vehicles and compactors in a shop setting, with field work for occasional installations. You'll fabricate, weld, cut, grind, and paint as needed while following safety rules.

The role requires MIG/ARC welding knowledge, ability to read shop drawings, operate small tools and a forklift, and communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Welding and fabrication experience for containers, fleet vehicles, and related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings or specs.
• Familiarity with safe shop practices and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, grinding, cutting, torching, drilling, and repair work on containers and fleet vehicles.
• Weld steel using MIG and ARC processes.
• Cut steel with plasma cutter and saws; perform related metalwork.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with safety policies.
• Complete required paperwork and use computer systems for job records.
• Interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and management; assist in installations as needed.
