Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to repair containers, fleet vehicles and perform field and shop welding. You will weld MIG/ARC, cut steel with plasma, fabricate components, and assist with compactor installations while maintaining safety.

This role requires ability to operate shop tools, use an overhead crane, and read fabrication drawings; physical requirements include lifting and outdoor work, with opportunities to progress within a family-owned company.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG/ARC and stick welding preferred.
• One year welding and cutting experience or participation in/ graduation from a technical program preferred.
• Knowledge of small shop tools and safe operation of equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, grinding, cutting and fabrication on containers, compactors, and related equipment.
• Weld steel using MIG and ARC welding processes.
• Fabricate steel components and cut steel with plasma or saws.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Assist with compactor installations and other shop projects.
