Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a welder to repair and fabricate containers, fleet vehicles, and related equipment in a shop environment. Responsibilities include MIG/ARC welding, plasma cutting, and operation of shop tools, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

The role requires 1–2 years of welding experience or related training, ability to read safety procedures, and basic computer skills for records and paperwork. Potential overtime and field support as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years welding and cutting experience or participation in a technical training program.
• MIG/ARC and stick welding knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read and follow safety standards and shop procedures.
• Basic computer skills for paperwork and records.
• Ability to operate shop tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication/repair on containers, fleet vehicles, and related equipment.
• Weld steel using MIG and ARC methods.
• Cut steel with plasma cutter and various saws.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per OSHA and company standards.
• Complete required paperwork in company systems and communicate with team.
• Assist with field installations as needed and interact professionally with customers.
