Job summary

Magna is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair plant facilities and production equipment. You will perform welding-related repairs, operate a forklift, and participate in preventive maintenance programs while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires basic electrical knowledge, familiarity with Fanuc controls, and the use of hand and power tools. You will work with multiple shifts and adhere to MIOSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of welding and Fanuc controls.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Able to perform minor weld technology tasks and spot adjustments.
• Licensed to operate a forklift.
• Knowledge of lock out / tag out procedures.
• Familiarity with 5S and TPM activities.
• Basic electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair problems on plant facilities and production equipment in regard to welding.
• Assist in maintenance improvements and preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain equipment records, schematics, and blueprints.
• Attend training for professional development and safety requirements.
• Complete all work per MIOSHA standards.
• Maintain shift reports and department records.
• Communicate welding concerns with team and supervisor.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts.
