Magna Exteriors in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. You will install and troubleshoot electrical systems, perform mechanical work, and support ongoing production with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires two years of maintenance troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting and an AS technical degree; preferred experience includes electronics, power and controls, plus MIG welding, HVAC, crane operation and rigging training.

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance troubleshooting in a manufacturing facility.
• One year continuous work experience.
• Minimum AS technical degree.
• Preferred: electronics, electrical power, and controls specialization.
• Prefer MIG welding, HVAC, crane operation and rigging training.

Responsibilities

• Install conduits, electrical enclosures, controllers and switches.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic hydraulic and HVAC devices.
• Analyze problems and determine root causes.
• Perform mechanical work including welding and pipe fitting.
• Balance rotating equipment and adjust paint booth airflow.
• Maintain high-quality work and adapt to short-notice schedule changes.
• Complete documentation (work orders, PO requests).
• Report abnormalities to the Supervisor.
• Load/unload equipment for maintenance projects.
• Maintain clean, safe work area.
• Participate in department meetings.
• Submit cost-reduction and innovation ideas.
• Initiate qualification to senior technician status in 24 months.
