Job summary

Terex Corporation seeks a Weld Lead/Lead Welder to supervise production lines and coordinate welding operations on the shop floor, ensuring quality and safety.

You will train and mentor welders, read blueprints, and manage daily decisions to meet productivity targets while maintaining 5S standards and accurate inventory. Strong supervisory and process-improvement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of manufacturing operations, including fabrication and process improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of weld quality standards and inspection requirements.
• Experience training and mentoring welders.
• Knowledge of welding equipment setup, maintenance, and safe operating practices.
• Lean manufacturing and 5S experience.

Responsibilities

• 1/3 production, 1/3 process improvement, 1/3 training.
• Coordinate production line activities.
• Make daily decisions affecting employees, quality, delivery, productivity.
• Maintain appropriate workforce to meet production levels, flexing team members to different jobs as necessary.
• Coach/discipline employees as needed.
• Communicate material requirements to maintain necessary inventory.
• Ensure a safe work environment.
• Produce reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
