Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a Welder Process Technician in Indiana to serve as the technical resource for welding operations. You will train and mentor welders, support new product launches, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure customer specifications and manufacturing standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of MIG/TIG welding experience preferred.
• Ability to pass Tenneco’s Weld Certification practical evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day technical direction and support to welders while working with the Production Supervisor.
• Conducts welding processes including MIG/TIG of stainless-steel components in accordance with drawings, WPS’s and quality standards.
• Demonstrates ability to weld flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead and fabricate/repair structural steel parts.
• Keeps weld procedures and inspections compliant; identifies defects and coordinates repairs.
• LeadsKaizen events and process improvement activities; supports root cause investigations and corrective actions.
