Job summary

Anchor Fabrication is seeking a Welding Supervisor to oversee the welding department, drive lean initiatives, and ensure production targets are met. You will manage staff, enforce safety policies, and maintain quality records to support a high-performance shop.

The role requires extensive welding experience, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with maintenance, finishing, and planning teams to stay on schedule and within budgets.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include 5+ years welding experience in metal industry.
• 5+ years weld quality experience and managing at least 25 employees.
• Ability to read detailed prints and set/weld with Miller equipment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Drive a culture of 5S and lean principles in the Welding department.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and proper PPE usage.
• Own department quality and pursue process improvements.
• Maintain certifications and ensure current WQTR/WPS records.
• Collaborate with R&D, planning, and HR to meet monthly targets.
• Oversee payroll entries and maintain accurate production data.
• Lead a team in a fast-paced, quality-driven manufacturing environment.
