Airgas is hiring a Weld Process Intern in Tulsa, OK (Mid South Regional Office) for a full-time summer program in 2027. The role focuses on building foundational expertise in welding processes and Airgas-specific sales methodologies under a Welding Process Specialist. Travel within the territory is required.

The internship emphasizes learning, field exposure, and development of technical sales and safety awareness, with opportunities to use Welding Surveys and Efficiency Analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Welding Engineering or similar.
• Third or fourth year student preferred.
• Willingness to pursue CWI/CWS exams.
• Strong math, problem solving and sales analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Learning & Development: gain in-depth welding knowledge to match customer needs with Airgas products.
• Sales Support: promote profitable welding process sales to small and midsize customers.
• Field Experience: shadow specialists during customer site visits.
• Tool Proficiency: use Welding Surveys and Efficiency Analysis tools.
• Marketing Support: provide technical literature on shielding gases and welding products.
• Safety Advocacy: promote safety standards in the workplace.
