Job summary

You will gain in-depth welding knowledge, shadow specialists on customer visits, and develop skills with Airgas sales tools while promoting safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in accredited university majoring in Welding Engineering or similar discipline (preferred).
• Third or fourth year student preferred.
• Strong interest in welding processes and welding economics.
• Willingness to pursue CWI/CWS exam.
• Strong mathematical, problem solving and analytical skills with ability to apply to customer sales analysis and cost comparisons.
• Exhibits customer focus and teamwork.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn welding processes and Airgas products to match customer needs.
• Assist in promoting profitable welding process sales to small and midsize customers.
• Shadow welding specialists during site visits to observe processes and identify Airgas solutions.
• Develop proficiency with Welding Surveys and Efficiency Analysis tools.
• Provide customers with technical literature on shielding gases and welding products.
• Promote safety and maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers.
