Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a Welding Engineer in Buffalo, NY to own welding processes for precision components and assemblies. You will develop repeatable joining methods, resolve production challenges, and partner with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve weld integrity and product performance.

Responsibilities include planning weld trials, supporting inspections and validations, transferring products into production, and training personnel on approved methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or closely related field required.
• Hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting welding processes in manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of welding metallurgy, engineering drawings, weld symbols, inspection methods, and process documentation.
• Ability to analyze technical problems and communicate corrective actions to production teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and optimize welding procedures, parameters, joint prep, tooling, and fixturing for new and existing products.
• Evaluate materials, joint designs, heat input, distortion, and weldability to establish reliable production processes.
• Support procedure and welder qualification activities and maintain technical records.
• Investigate weld defects and process variation; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
