Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC is seeking a Welding Engineer to own welding processes for precision components. You will develop repeatable joining methods, solve production challenges, and partner with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve weld integrity and product performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, qualification support, and process optimization across materials and joint designs to enable reliable production, with a focus on quality, safety, and operational

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline with hands-on welding experience.
Knowledge of welding metallurgy, weld symbols, and inspection methods.
Ability to analyze technical problems and communicate corrective actions clearly.

Responsibilities

Develop, document, and optimize welding procedures, parameters, joint prep, tooling, and fixturing.
Evaluate materials, joint designs, heat input, distortion, and weldability for reliable processes.
Support procedure and welder qualification activities and maintain records.
Investigate weld defects and process variation; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Collaborate with design engineers to improve joint accessibility and manufacturability.
Plan welding trials and support inspection, testing, and process validation.
Train production personnel on approved methods and create work instructions.
Assess welding equipment and process improvements to reduce scrap and cycle time.
Ensure safe operations and maintain compliance with customer/industry standards.
