Job summary

Your Talent Team is seeking a Welding Engineer to provide technical ownership of welding processes for precision components and assemblies. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve weld integrity, productivity, and product performance.

The role requires hands-on experience in developing and troubleshooting welding processes in manufacturing, knowledge of welding metallurgy, and the ability to analyze technical problems and communicate corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting welding processes in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of welding metallurgy, drawings, weld symbols, inspection methods, and process documentation.
• Ability to analyze technical problems and communicate corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and optimize welding procedures, parameters, joint prep, tooling and fixturing.
• Evaluate materials, joint designs, heat input, distortion and weldability for reliable production.
• Support procedure and welder qualification activities and maintain technical records.
• Investigate weld defects and process variation; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design engineers to improve access, manufacturability, and assembly consistency.
• Plan welding trials and support inspection, testing, process validation, and transfer to production.
• Train production personnel on approved methods and prepare work instructions and process controls.
• Evaluate equipment and process improvements to reduce scrap, rework and cycle time; ensure safe operations.
