Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for advanced welding and laser processing at the Savannah Machinery Works site. You will lead welding, laser, and automated manufacturing initiatives, mentor teams, and drive data-informed improvements to yield and throughput.

The role emphasizes GTAW TIG, robotic and gantry welding, and emerging laser technologies, with a focus on safety, quality, and scalable automation across gas turbine components.

Qualifications

• Experience in GTAW (TIG), robotic welding, gantry welding, laser welding, and laser ablation.
• Proven ability to lead process development, automation projects, and capital equipment implementation.
• Strong use of manufacturing data to improve quality, yield, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and continuous improvement of welding, laser processing, and automated manufacturing processes.
• Serve as SME for welding process capability, manufacturing readiness, and automation strategy.
• Develop and deploy best practices, standards, and procedures for repeatable, high-quality production.
• Own and govern manufacturing programs, data, and change management with traceability.
