Job summary

Mitsubishi Power is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Savannah Machinery Works site in Pooler, GA. The role focuses on advancing GTAW, robotic and gantry welding, laser welding, laser ablation, and emerging joining technologies to create highly automated, repeatable manufacturing systems.

You will establish best practices across automation, controls, and data collection, mentor staff, and lead process validations while traveling up to 50% to vendors and facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience in welding, joining, and laser processing.
• Proven leadership of process development, automation projects, and capital equipment implementation.
• Strong use of manufacturing data to improve quality, yield, and throughput.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and continuous improvement of welding, laser processing, and automated manufacturing.
• Serve as the SME for welding process capability, MES connectivity, and automation strategy.
• Develop and deploy best practices, standards, and procedures to ensure high quality production.
