Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to support the Savannah Machinery Works and its gas turbine sub-assemblies.

You will apply advanced engineering principles to provide technical support to manufacturing and repair operations, ensuring products meet customer requirements. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years of related experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with technical documentation and standard software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Ability to read/interpret technical, financial, and legal documents; present to leadership.
• Apply advanced mathematical and statistical concepts to problems.
• Proficiency with database, project management, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.
• Overnight travel up to 10% by land or air.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates core competencies: action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, ownership.
• Maintain knowledge base for Gas Turbine Sub-Assemblies, measurements, drawings, standards, and service strategies.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering team with Nonconformance Dispositions.
• Implement and Review templates, process sheets, and specifications.
• Implement Continuous Improvement projects.
• Review and approval of Technical Reports.
• Create and Maintain Work Instructions.
• Ensure Proper Documentation in Assembly Area.
• Support process optimization, automation integration, and removal of non-value-added work.
• Support ISO 9001 audits and compliance efforts.
• Validate product meets or exceeds requirements.
• Drawing Interpretation and Creation.
• Lift Plan Interpretation and Creation.
• Lift Fixture Design, and Lifting Equipment Inspection Requirements definition.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
