Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Savannah Machinery Works site to lead advanced machining processes, including grinding and EDM, and to drive automation and data-driven improvements. You will own programs, data, and validation while coordinating with suppliers, OEMs, and teams to improve safety, quality, and throughput.

Travel up to 50% may be required. The role emphasizes development of future-state manufacturing with automation, adaptive controls, and MES

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing engineering for advanced machining operations (grinding, EDM, milling).
• Experience leading process development, automation, equipment commissioning, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, optimization, and sustainment of advanced machining processes (CBN/CFG grinding, Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, EDM drilling, milling).
• Serve as SME for machining process capability and manufacturing readiness.
• Develop manufacturing best practices, standards, and procedures to ensure quality and repeatability.
• Own machining programs, data, and change-management processes for traceability and validation.
• Collaborate across teams to deploy automation and data-driven strategies.
