Job summary

Vance-Granville Community College is seeking a Part-Time Welding Instructor to lead Introduction to Welding courses in a community college setting. You will develop and implement course content, syllabi, tests, and lesson plans with a focus on student learning outcomes.

The role supports the Director of Occupational Extension and the Welding Program Head, with a goal of ongoing personal and professional growth for instructional staff. This position may require various related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Two years of welding experience in GTAW, GMAW and SMAW.
• Qualified to teach Introduction to Welding.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Introduction to Welding classes.
• Maintain class records, syllabi, objectives, tests, and lesson plans.
• Develop, maintain, and evaluate educational materials.
• Assist Director/Program Head with ordering instructional supplies & welding materials.
• Assess student learning outcomes and use results to improve courses.
• Experiment with innovative teaching techniques and other duties as assigned.
