Job summary

Flathead Valley Community College in Montana seeks an Adjunct Instructor, Welding to teach courses as needed. This on-campus, face-to-face role may include day and evening classes.

You will provide career-oriented instruction, develop lesson plans, and maintain instructional records while collaborating with faculty to support student success. The position reports to the Director, Trades Institute.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Welding/Fabrication tech or certified welding program.
• Minimum of three years welding or related field work experience.
• Preferred: welding/inspection industry knowledge; 5+ years experience; teaching in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Provide career-oriented instruction and develop lesson plans.
• Teach welding to intro level; on-campus, face-to-face.
• Maintain instructional records and submit them as required.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to aid the educational process.
• Stay current in practices, trends and research related to welding.
• Participate in program assessment and meetings as directed.
• Create a collaborative environment and maintain positive working relationships.
• Report to the Director, Trades Institute.
