Job summary

Wake Technical Community College seeks a passionate Welding Faculty member to teach welding courses and lead hands-on labs, ensuring industry-aligned curricula. You will mentor students, plan syllabi, stay current with welding technologies, and foster inclusive learning while building partnerships for internships and job placement.

Applicants should have a diploma or associate degree and welding experience; must pass the qualification process; duties may include day or evening classes.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Welding or related field plus two years welding industry experience.
  • Or an Associate degree in Welding with at least one year of welding industry or related instructional experience.
  • Must be able to pass Wake Tech's Welding qualification process.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned classes and laboratories day and/or evening per course requirements.
  • Mentor students in welding labs and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student work and attendance.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment and accessible to all students.
  • Support recruitment and establish industry partnerships for internships and job placement.
  • Participate in graduation exercises and college/department committees as needed.
