Associate Degree in Welding with five (5) years of welding experience or a one (1) year Diploma in Welding with eight (8) or more years of welding experience and working towards an Associate Degree. Proficiency in ARC, MIG, TIG, Flux Core, Pipe welding (high pressure), Gas welding, and plasma cutting. Preferred: AWS Certified Welding Inspector and teaching experience. Driver's license required.
Knowledge of higher education principles, standard business practices, and college mission. Ability to supervise staff, establish good relationships, interpret laws, and demonstrate teaching abilities. Ability to work independently with discretion in teaching and advising.
The teaching environment includes classroom and lab settings, requiring local travel to business/industry and community campuses. Some travel for professional meetings and overnight stays may be necessary. Locations include partner high schools, state and federal facilities, community campuses, and industry partners.
