The State of South Carolina seeks a qualified instructor to teach classroom and laboratory welding courses starting Spring 2025. Candidates should have significant teaching experience and relevant certifications, ensuring students gain essential skills in various welding techniques. This rewarding position offers a chance to shape the next generation of welders in a technical and supportive environment.
Teaches classroom and laboratory courses. Prepares and teaches a full range of welding coursework such as oxy-acetylene, gas metal arc, shielded metal arc (including pipe), gas tungsten arc (steel, stainless, and aluminum), and fabrication. Supervises students during classroom and laboratory activities.
Must be proficient in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, all positions plate and pipe, ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Must be proficient with OxyFuel and Plasma Cutting equipment. Must be capable of operation and maintaining all welding lab equipment.
