Job description

Trident Technical College is seeking Welding Instructors. Responsibilities include teaching courses by providing systematically planned instruction, designing curriculum, evaluating student performance, and advising students. Teaching may occur during days and evenings on campus or off-site.

The minimum qualifications are an associate degree in welding technology or a related field with relevant work experience, or a high school diploma plus five years of welding training and teaching experience in processes such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, oxyacetylene cutting, and plasma-arc cutting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All applicants must pass a welding test. Those with only a high school diploma must complete an associate degree within two years of hire. Qualified applicants must pass performance tests in the specified welding processes.

Preferred candidates will have an associate degree plus three years of work experience, practical knowledge in all welding processes, and the ability to track procurement and budget documents. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
