A leading institution in South Carolina is seeking a Welding Technology instructor to teach and develop courses for a diverse student population. The role includes effective teaching, student advisement, and engagement in community activities. Candidates must hold a relevant degree and have significant experience in welding.
Teach Welding Technology courses to a diverse student body using effective teaching strategies; develop, revise, and maintain course materials; recommend and design new programs; maintain office hours; participate in professional development; engage in college and community activities; promote the college's mission; develop and implement retention strategies; assist with graduate placement; attend graduation ceremonies; advise and register students; serve on college committees; promote institutional goals; and assist the department chair with administrative responsibilities.
Teaching may occur on any campus or via distance learning, and may be scheduled during days, nights, weekends, or a combination thereof.
Qualifications include a Certificate or Associate Degree in Welding Technology and at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Expertise in welding, print reading, and pipe welding is required.
