Denmark Technical College seeks qualified applicants for a welding instructor position within the Industrial and Related Technologies division. The role involves teaching in classrooms and laboratories, requiring an Associate degree in Welding Technology and experience in the field. Potential candidates must demonstrate welding skills that meet industry standards and be capable of developing relevant curricula.
Denmark Technical College is looking to build an active pool of qualified applicants to teach courses within the Industrial and Related Technologies division.

Under the supervision of the Dean of Industrial and Related Technologies, this position performs classroom and laboratory instructional duties in the welding degree program. These duties may involve cross-discipline activities for common core classes related to welding. This position requires a flexible schedule based on semester needs at Denmark Tech campuses or designated High Schools.
Qualifications include an Associate degree in Welding Technology with two years’ teaching experience, or a technical Diploma and/or certification in Welding with two years’ working experience as a welder and two years’ teaching experience.
Alternatively, an Associate degree in Welding Technology (or equivalent) with five (5) years of direct welding experience (with valid/current credentials such as AWS CWI/CWE), or completion of a federally approved apprenticeship program with proper certifications, is acceptable. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field combined with the above experience is also acceptable. The candidate should have knowledge in welding theory, metallurgy, mathematics, blueprint reading, oxygen acetylene welding, and brazing. The ability to demonstrate welding skills meeting ASME standards for pipe welding in the nuclear industry may be required.
Some teaching or training experience is preferred. The applicant must be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate well, work independently, exercise sound judgment, and develop programs and curricula aligned with industry needs.
