Job summary

Wabash is seeking skilled welders to join our manufacturing team in Lafayette, Indiana. You will MIG/TIG weld carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum parts, read engineering prints, and operate related equipment. We provide in-house Weld School for training if needed and require passing weld tests before production.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass Weld Tests associated with product line, prior to welding in production.
• Must pass respirator fit test.
• Basic reading, writing, math & verbal skill.
• Capable of following and understanding engineering prints, specifications & instructions.

Responsibilities

• Own and help improve our performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
• MIG and/or TIG weld carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel to quality standards.
• Read engineering prints, weld symbols, and follow specifications.
• Perform basic operator preventive maintenance for welding equipment.
• Work at heights of 15-20 ft.
• Assist in different departments as needed and follow safety policies and practices.
