Job summary

Airgas in Chicago, IL is seeking a Rental Coordinator to support the daily branch operations and ensure rental equipment is available for orders.

The role involves delivering exceptional customer service, handling high-volume calls and emails, preparing quotes, coordinating equipment, and collaborating with the service department. Working hours are Monday–Friday with comprehensive benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two (2) years of customer service and/or sales experience.
• Greater than three years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe working environment per health and safety guidelines.
• Provides excellent customer service to all accounts.
• Follows up on leads via Web, Associations.
• Provides timely follow-up to customer requests.
• Assists walk-in customers and handles equipment returns.
• Processes credit card charges.
• Coordinates with Outside Sales for inquiries and orders.
• Prepares quotes for outside sales and faxes to clients.
• Coordinates equipment requirements for efficient order fulfillment.
• Plans and directs customer orders with the service department.
• Coordinates shipments with the service department and shop.
• Ensures rental agreements and documents are generated correctly.
