Accura Engineering seeks a Construction Inspector - Welding/Coating to oversee welding and coating inspections on federal facilities, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards. This role expects extensive AWS/NACE/SSPC/NDT credentials and hands-on inspection of fabrication, coatings, and bolting processes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in welding inspections, 2+ years in coating inspections, and the ability to coordinate QA/QC with contractors across project sites.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold AWS QC1 welding inspector certification and relevant coatings certifications.
• Minimum 5 years in construction welding inspections and 2 years in coating inspections.
• NDT qualification to ASNT standards is required or preferred.
• Structural bolting inspection certification with familiarity of AASHTO guidelines.
• Experience with QA/QC and safety plans on federal construction projects.

Aufgaben

• Observe, inspect, and report on construction projects at federal facilities for workmanship, materials, installation, and methods.
• Perform welding inspections related to steel fabrication and align with drawings.
• Oversee coating inspections and testing of various coating systems and methods.
• Inspect structural bolting methods and perform testing as required.
• Provide recommendations to government personnel regarding plans and specifications.
• Monitor contractor quality systems and manage the three-phase inspection process.
• Provide site surveillance and assist owner in issue resolution.
• Review change orders, modifications, RFIs, and submittals for compliance.
• Ensure QA and safety plans are adhered to by the contractor.
