Job summary

Wabash National Corporation in Lafayette, Indiana seeks skilled Welders to join the manufacturing team. You will perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel and read engineering prints to ensure tight tolerances. Training and weld tests are provided to qualify for production work.

The role requires full PPE, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work at heights while maintaining quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass Weld Tests associated with product line, prior to welding in production.
• Must pass respirator fit test.
• Basic reading, writing, math & verbal skill.
• Capable of following and understanding engineering prints, specifications & instructions.

Responsibilities

• Own and help improve our performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
• MIG and/or TIG weld of carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel to meet quality standards.
• Read engineering prints and weld symbols and follow specifications.
• Basic operator preventative maintenance for welding equipment.
• Work at heights of 15-20 ft. and use PPE as required.
