Job summary

Delta College in Michigan seeks collaborative Welding Adjunct Instructor(s) to foster student retention and success. This part-time role starts Fall 2026, teaching Oxy-Fuel Welding and Cutting, SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW.

Classes typically meet one or two nights per week. Qualifications include a Journeyman’s card with 4000 hours of welding experience or an Associate Degree or higher in Welding Engineering Technology or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and promote an effective learning environment to maximize student learning.
  • Teach Welding courses on a part-time basis starting Fall 2026; classes typically meet one or two nights a week.
  • Contribute to student retention and success and support diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Job description

Position Accountabilities and Essential Functions

The successful candidate must demonstrate experience, skills, and commitment to fostering an environment of belonging, diversity, equity and inclusion. Are you interested in positively impacting students’ lives? We are seeking collaborative, energetic, and innovative Welding Adjunct Instructor(s) who are committed to student retention and success. Instructors are responsible for establishing and promoting an effective learning environment to maximize student learning. We are looking for part-time help starting Fall 2026. Classes to be taught include Oxy-Fuel Welding and Cutting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (stick), Gas Metal Arc Welding ( MIG ), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding ( TIG ). The classes will typically meet one or two nights a week. We have several openings available.

Required Qualifications

  • Journeyman’s card with two years (4000 hours) of relevant work experience OR
  • Associate Degree or higher in Welding Engineering Technology or related field
