Job summary

CADREX Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a Welder II to use manual welding skills to manufacture weldments to specifications, workmanship standards and the production schedule. The role is onsite in Bloomingdale, IL, on the 2nd shift, and involves setup, welding, and quality checks.

The ideal candidate will have AWS TIG welding certification, basic understanding of welding symbols, and the ability to read prints and tolerances, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in metal manufacturing; strong preference.
• Ability to pass AWS TIG welding certifications (Stainless, Aluminum, Galvanized).
• Basic understanding of welding symbols, tolerances and quality measuring equipment.
• Meet or exceed quality standards and process documentation requirements.
• Ability to read prints and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tools and equipment for welding jobs.
• Arrange parts for welding and staging processes.
• Perform quality inspections per documentation and control plan.
• Detect and report defects to the Lead.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Read simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Uphold site efficiency standards.
• Learn and demonstrate continuous improvement for Safety and Quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the work center.
• Cross trained in multiple workstations.
