Job summary

McWane Plant & Industrial seeks a Welder I for the 2:00 PM–12:30 AM shift to layout and weld parts per templates and specifications. The role supports our Job Shop Fabrication and Machining operations and requires attention to weld quality and safety standards.

The position offers a starting rate of $26.08/hr with a 24‑month wage progression and reports to the Branch Manager. Physical work includes lifting and operating various welding tools in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one (1) year of welding experience.
• Must follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal safety and the safety of teammates.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and wear PPE.
• Weld in multiple positions (Flat, Horizontal, Vertical, Overhead).
• Weld ductile iron and steel pipe and collars.
• Follow all company and government welding standards.
