Job summary

McWane Plant & Industrial is seeking an experienced Welder I for the 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM shift at our Connecticut facility. The Welder will lay out and weld parts using manual processes, ensuring welds meet company and government standards.

This role requires attention to safety and adherence to the McWane Way. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of welding experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to operate forklifts after certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year of welding experience.
• Must be able to operate forklift and obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Weld in multiple positions (Flat, Horizontal, Vertical and Overhead) according to templates and layout specifications.
• Identify and perform the appropriate weld per specifications.
• Follow all safety rules and practices to maintain a safe working environment.
• Use a variety of tools and equipment safely, including welders and cutting torches.
