Job summary

McWane Plant & Industrial is seeking an experienced Welder to join our Job Shop Fabrication and Machining operation. The Welder I will layout and weld parts using manual welding processes according to templates and layout specifications, ensuring welds conform to company and government standards.

Weld in multiple positions and ensure welds meet specs; maintain safety and cleanliness; wear PPE; may work overtime based on customer and plant needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one (1) year of welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures personal safety and the safety of team members.
• Welds in multiple positions (Flat, Horizontal, Vertical, Overhead).
• Follows all processes and procedures in the McWane Plant & Industrial Management Program.
• Identifies and performs welds per specifications and welds ductile iron and steel pipe and collars.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area and uses PPE as required.
