Welder/Fabricator

Overview

Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The position focuses primarily on MIG, Flux Core, and TIG welding (depending on department) and requires proficiency in welding aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience welding/fabricating, perform weld tests, read tape measures, and work at heights on platform ladders and scissor lifts.

Duties & Responsibilities

• MIG, Flux Core, TIG Welding: Perform MIG/Flux Core/TIG welding, primarily on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel components, ensuring strong and precise welds.
• Structural & Sheet Metal Welding: Weld heavy tubing and sheet metal (14 gauge), including structural and plenum work.
• Fabrication: Assist in the fabrication of custom components, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and design specifications.
• Blueprint & Tape Measure Reading: Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine welding requirements; accurately measure and cut materials using tape measures.
• Work at Heights: Safely operate platform ladders and scissor lifts to perform welding tasks in elevated work areas.

Salary

USD $22.00/hr - USD $36.80/hr.

Requirements

• 2+ years of welding experience, including MIG welding, structural welding, and sheet metal welding.
• Familiarity with working with blueprints, hand tools, power tools, and welders.
• Proficient in reading and converting fractions to decimals.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights using platform ladders and scissor lifts.
• Ability to work in various positions, including standing, bending, kneeling, and overhead welding.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring precision and attention to detail for long periods.
• Negative result on pre-employment and all active employment drug screens when required.
