Overview:
Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled Journeyman Millwright with expertise in TIG welding, industrial systems, and machinery to join our team. This role will focus on our food‑grade customers, where TIG welding will be required. The position requires on‑site support and maintenance for industrial clients, ensuring machinery and equipment operate efficiently and reliably. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently in diverse environments under tight deadlines.

USD $35.00/hr (max)

Key Responsibilities:
- On‑Site Equipment Maintenance & Repair:
- Provide hands‑on maintenance on conveyors and other machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
- Install new machinery or equipment per client specifications.
- Weld and fabricate (TIG, Stick, Flux‑Core).
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals for installations.
- Customer Interaction & Service:
- Primary point of contact for clients during service visits.
- Communicate technical issues, repair plans, and recommendations clearly.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through timely, efficient service.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and use PPE.
- Observe all safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of time worked, travel expenses, and other admin tasks for billing.
Required Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or related fields preferred.
- 7+ years as a Field Service Technician or similar role, focusing on industrial machinery or equipment.
- Experience with a broad range of industrial systems (e.g., motors, pumps, hydraulic systems) is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical/hydraulic systems and repair/maintenance.
- Experience with welding and fabrication is advantageous.
- Certifications:
- Relevant industrial maintenance certifications are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; requires extensive travel.

Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Work in confined spaces, high places, and noisy settings.
- Stand, kneel, bend, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods.
- Travel regularly and work at various client locations, including overnight stays.
Work Environment:
- Travel to client sites, which may include industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, or construction sites.
- Exposure to industrial machinery, electrical equipment, chemicals, and other typical hazards.
- Work may involve noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Must provide personal transportation to/from job site (paid mileage/time).
